One thing I’ve learned from life that’s universal truth: Everybody just wants to enjoy the moments from this thing called life. Nobody knows what this shit is all about, what we should do, or how to spend it. As buddha said “Fish see everything in the ocean, except water”. People spend their whole life acquiring cars, money, women (or men), and a whole barrage of other things to seek some purpose to this mystery. So, fuck it! I dedicate my existence to seeing beyond the negative bullshit my brain comes up with, for those moments I can take a deep breath and appreciate what’s around me: Life itself. I could be dead. But that’s a mystery on its on.
Everybody has their Ups and Downs. Downtime might possibly be the most accurate descriptions explained by the bible as “Hell on earth”. In my experience, when I enter a down in my life, it is because I’m convince myself somehow that I’m not good enough for some external force. My job, my relationships, a task. The longer my brain focuses on the negative things it brings down my life experience as a whole. Then, their are the times when I say “fuck it”, and move past entertaining these thoughts and appreciate the moment I’m in. That’s when I realize all the good things I have done in my life, and the good things in the future that I have envisioned, which all the good people I surround myself with will benefit from too. Positive energy is contagious. Just like misery loves company. So if you ever find yourself in a negative outlook in this rollercoaster called life, take a minute and reflect on the moment, and the water that surrounds us groupers. One day, it will all be over. Let’s just ride this shit out and enjoy ourselves.
Today is Jay Dilla’s Birthday. For those of you who don’t know who this guy is, he’s pretty much one of the most influential producers in Hip Hop history. He’s produced work for some of my favourite artists, Pharcyde, De La Soul and Tribe Called Quest. Above is a song which he produced as a part of his group, Slum Village, off their Fantastic Volume 2 album. RIP Jay Dee your music lives on.
Good Read on this Monday PM. I needed a little laugh. Favourite paragraph of the article:
“Wim Hof is a Dutch-born man with the incredible ability of being invulnerable to cold, which he has proven by swimming in ice cold water and being buried completely in ice. You might scoff at this, because you saw David Blaine do the same thing. OK, how about this: He climbed up Mount Everest in a goddamned pair of goddamned shorts.

His testicles have retracted up behind his eyelids at this point.
He has been dubbed “Iceman,” because the Dutch have no imagination.
LOL!!!
My GF loves to cuddle. While I have no problem with this, and like to cuddle at times myself, at some point when you fall asleep you are going to wake up sweaty, and probably in a funkified position that could inevitably lead to the dreaded *neck crick* (see: http://backandneck.about.com/od/neckpai1/f/neckpaincrick.htm). Usually if she falls asleep before me I have a hard time getting to sleep myself as I don’t want to wake her up.
Since I love to help people here is a tidbit of knowledge from ‘Friends’ which I have added to my arsenal (but not tested yet) to help out anybody in this situation. Hopefully it won’t turn out like Chandlers attempt..
